On the evening of June 10, in order to deeply carry out the study and education of party history and celebrate the 100th anniversary of the founding of the Communist Party of China, Professor Wang Xin of the College of machinery came into Deshan college with the latest scientific research achievements of precision forging to share with the students the history of reform and opening up and the development history of precision forging and multi-directional die forging. The lecture was presided over by Mr. Liu Jun, Secretary of the general Party branch of the College of machinery, Mr. Lin Jianping and some students majoring in mechanism attended the lecture.

Professor Wang Xin is the deputy director of precision forging Academic Committee of plastic processing branch of Chinese society of mechanical engineering. He was sent by the State Education Commission to study in Japan in 1993. He has been committed to the research and development of metal plasticity theory and finite element simulation technology, precision forging technology, mold design and manufacturing technology, and has successively worked in many famous enterprises in Japan, Fully mastered the precision forging theory and production technology. During his stay in Japan, he kept in touch with experts and scholars from many domestic universities and provided support and help within his ability. In 2009, he returned to China to establish the company, developed and completed the multi process near net shape forming process and die simulation design software forging king and obtained industrial application, realized the localization of many kinds of precision forging dies and replaced the import of some high-end dies. In August 2018, he was transferred to Shanghai Institute of electrical engineering full-time and served as a distinguished professor of multidirectional die forging.

At the beginning of the lecture, Professor Wang shared old photos about his experience of benefiting from reform and opening up, participating in the first college entrance examination after the cultural revolution, sending students to study abroad and returning home to start a business. Compared with the past and the present, the great changes in the motherland and today's happy life are hard won. I advise students to learn to be grateful and repay the country. Then, Professor Wang briefly introduced the development process of precision forging, and then took the production and manufacturing of cross raceway cage jacket as an example, analyzed the multi-directional die forging process of cross raceway cage jacket, simulated the material flow law under the process by finite element simulation, and showed it to the students by real model device. Finally, Professor Wang answered the questions raised by the students on the spot, encouraged the students to learn professional knowledge, lay their own foundation, prepare for the postgraduate entrance examination or further research in the future, and gave the students encouragement and message: happiness is a struggle!

At the end of the lecture, Mr. Liu Jun pointed out in his summary that this year is the 100th anniversary of the founding of the party, and the study and education of party history is a compulsory course for every college student. Looking back on the struggle road in the past and looking ahead, we must learn and summarize the party's history, and inherit and carry forward the party's successful experience.

Through this lecture, the students not only have a deeper understanding of their major, but also encourage them to summon up their energy and spirit to move forward into a new journey and forge ahead into a new era, constantly break through and surpass themselves, and be a competent and responsible socialist successor.
